Name the most expensive personal item you’ve ever purchased (not your home or car).
I’ve always been an Apple fan, ever since I started studying Visual Communications, in the early 2000s.
As a student, I owned an iBook and, later on, a 15-inch PowerBook G4 (which became obsolete because it had a faulty hard drive). But I had my eyes on the, then next generation PowerBook. It was so sleek and sexy.
Around 2008, when I worked as a graphic designer in the news department, I came across an ad for a 17-inch PowerBook. I met the agent in a café in Tel Aviv where I bought it from him.

I don’t remember how much, but at least $1,000, and it was second-hand. I was so excited that I forgot to take the sandwich I had ordered.
I really worked that laptop to the limit. I’d used it for the following 4 or 5 years, took it with me to England, and it served me well.
There was one problem, though – the WiFi connection was… not great, and didn’t work from a long range. Either the seller didn’t know about it, misled me, or the issue occurred later. I never fixed it, and now this computer is mot so functional. But boy, did I love it…
