If you think the only skills you’ve got are what you do for living, and your hobbies, think again.
There are many skills you possess, that you may not appreciate or even be aware of.
Can you clear up the kitchen super-fast?
Can you make yummy sandwiches that are also an eye-feast?
Do you know how to make a perfect cup of coffee?
Are you a wonderful parent your little ones can’t wait to play with?
When someone gets lost in the middle of nowhere, can you easily guide her in the right direction?
You get the idea…
Skills are not only woodworking, playing the guitar or bellydancing.
See, there are many skills you’ve developed over time. You may overlook them because you use them every day and they’ve become habits.
But when it comes to achieving your goals, these skills could serve you. Plus, thinking outside the box, you could find creative way to monetize them if they bring you joy.
And notice that I talk about skills as opposed to talents. You’re born with a talent, so you either have it or you don’t. But skills can be developed, which is good news because, as the saying goes, success is 10% talent and 90% hard work.
So what are your skills? How are you planning to take advantage of them?
